Sail Measuring

All SEAS boats must have a rating assigned by the SEAS Club Handicapper. SEAS is sponsoring a sail measuring night to support all members in getting the information needed to determine the boat handicap. Bring your largest flying headsail, and the sails that you normally use for racing (mainsail, genoa). 

SEAS Spring Party

The Southeast Alaska Sailing Club Spring Party will be held on Friday May 3rd from 6-8pm at the Sandy Beach shelter. Come join fellow sailors to learn about the sailing season or become a new sailor with the club. We will start the grills and be serving up some picnic food so come down and say hello and learn more about sailing and cruising in southeast Alaska.

Buoy Race #1

Are you ready to kick-off the 2024 summer?  Well, so is SEAS.  So, Saturday, May 4, 2024, starting at noon we are going to kick it off right with a couple buoy races in the Juneau Turning Basin. The race will need to wait for the Maritime Festival events to clear the turning basin before the races commence.

Skipper's Choice #2

Marmion Island

06/08/2024 - 10:00 to 21:00

Starting at 10:00 a.m. between the Committee boat and the Marmion Island Day Mark ( an imaginary line bearing 060 magnetic to, and within ½ mile of the mark), the boats will sail ONE of these courses: 

A. North into Taku Inlet, crossing an imaginary line bearing 60 magnetic to, and within ½ mile of Jaw Point, returning and crossing an imaginary line bearing 060 magnetic to, and within ½ mile of the Marmion Island Day mark.
