MaxSea Navigational Software

I was online tonight looking for navigational software to run on my new Dell XPS 16 laptop and while surfing the net, I found what looks like an awesome package:  http://maxsea.nexway.co.uk/
I've used NobelTech before and it was great at integrating radar, chart plotter, and gps, but this MaxSea gives you some very good sea floor maps, 3D images, satelitte images, easy waypoint set up, and so much more.  The price is prohibitive for the sailing I'll do around Juneau but if you're looking at coastal or offshore, this seems the best package going.
Does anyone know of a software package that'll allow me to use my laptop as a gps (with a usb plugin antenna) that doesn't cost half a month's salary?
